Prepositions and Prepositional Phrases
A preposition begins a group of words called a prepositional phrase.
The noun or pronoun that follows the preposition is called the object of the preposition.
Prepositional phrases can be used to tell more about the words they accompany.
Example
People have watched animated movies for a long time. (preposition)
People have watched animated movies for a long time. (prepositional phrase)
People have watched animated movies for a long time. (object of the preposition)
